Polka Dot Jacket

I fabric for this jacket I salvaged from a long coat with a large rip at the back. It was a few years after I'd unpicked it before I knew what to do with the weirdly shaped pieces I was left with. I recently remade it as a short jacket and put a new lining in. The pocket flaps and buttons are from the original coat. I still had to remake the sleeves because they were too big. The coat lapels looked wrong on a shorter, smaller jacket so I left it like this.

Jacket - 100% sturdy cotton
Lining - 100% polyester

One button hole by hand, the other trying out the sewing machine foot

Lining - hopelessly ironed but sewn in pretty well
