Black and White

These shorts are made from a pair of wool trousers I found in charity shop. The legs have been chopped off and the leg fabric used to make the turn up bits.

The fabric reminds me of the tiles in the front of Vorkosigan House (a place which will not mean much unless you have read The Vorkosigan Saga books by Lois McMaster Bujold.) A reminder of adventure, unexpected guests and interesting parties. I usually live in dresses and skirts but sometimes I need something less girly and more practical for...adventure.

The pendant is made from a clock face button and a gold filigree base (found by chance in the local fabric market) held together with wire. You can see better photos here.
